HARD + SHINY is an award winning independent creative studio founded by globally renowned British fashion designer Gareth Pugh and creative director Carson McColl. Specialising in fashion, film, stage design and experiential entertainment, our power lies in creative problem solving and high impact, unforgettable storytelling.
Over the past decade our studio has steadily gained a reputation for our work beyond fashion, characterised by an audacious and original creative vision, a rigorous attention to detail, and an unparalleled multi-disciplinary approach.
Our client portfolio is a rich and colourful line up, ranging from Stonewall to Selfridges & Co, Madison Square Garden to Rolls Royce Motor Cars. Together we have worked with some of the most popular artists of our time – including Beyoncé, Lady Gaga and Rihanna – and have collaborated with some of the world’s most important cultural institutions, designing shows for the New York City Ballet, the Opéra Garnier Paris and The Royal Opera House Covent Garden.
